Second Marriage...concern involving to be in laws | Advice - Relationships | Forum

Hello All,

My Name is abhi and i live in Bangalore and i am 29 years old. I was married for 6 months in 2008 before getting divorced…

Right now i live with my parents in Bangalore. My Father is working to help me in any way possible. I met a girl in office who is also divorced and we have decided to get married.. she is from kolkata and i am from Kerala and so far there has been no communication issues or any misunderstanding between my parents and her. My Parents Love her and treat her like their own daughter.

Rescently , he parents visited my home casually to talk to my parents and everything went on well.. she is the only daughter to her parents and her parents are settled in kolkata and her father is a engineer by profession

Now here comes the confusion and worry. Many a time during our conversation , her parents told my parents that they are her dependents which is fine because she is the only daughter. Now i am being told now that she is going to take a housing loan for her parents back in Kolkata and she also took a 2 lakh personal loan for her parents.. i can see that more than half her salary goes into them inspite of her father being employed.

My fear is about our future. I have plans of buying a house and now i have second mind to it thinking we both cant have a housing loan each on us.

Her parents demand anywhere between 20k-50k every few months from her and she gives away all her savings to them.

I have informed her of my concerns but there is no change. I am okay with helping parents when they are in need but this is worrying me…

is this normal… recently her father demanded 20k because he was traveling on official duty to Egypt and also another 50k that he owes some one back home.
