My New Interfaith, Intercultural Relationship | Introductions | Forum

I'm a Hispanic American born woman. I met and Indian guy and was wildly attracted. I've NEVER been attracted to an Indian guy before… He is not only handsome but he has such a rich personality. We have spent a lot of time together over the last few weeks. He's very spiritual, kind, intelligent and affectionate and he wants me to meet his friends. It is easy to bond with him and be emotionally intimate. I have never met a man so kind and respectful. 

He's a moderate Hindu. I'm a string Christian. Tolerant for sure, but very serious about what I believe. I'm so nervous about the whole thing. He loves to hear me talk about my belief in God and Jesus. I'm not a typical religious girl, I believe in authentic and genuine relationship with God but I also respect Hindus and other religious people. At the end of the day though I'm a Christian who would never allow idols or Hindu worship in my home and he sometimes expresses that he thinks my beliefs are ignorant. 

We don't put each other down. We have honest and open dialogue about our religions and there's never any contempt between us. My religious family will not be accepting, but I can't help but want to be around this man. We are very like minded in a lot of ways and being around him fills my heart. I would have never thought in a million years that I would be in a either an interfaith or intercultural relationship and now I'm in both!
